Keep Twitter Videos Playing when Scrolling or Switching Tabs on a Desktop Browser

Twitter videos have an annoying tendency to stop when you scroll down or go to a different browser tab.  Counter-intuitively, this behavior is controlled by the Video Autoplay setting. If you turn that setting off, videos will keep playing when you scroll or go to a different tab.

 

To disable Video Autoplay:

 

1. Click on your picture in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
2. From the menu, click Settings and Privacy.
3. The Account menu item on the left will automatically be selected
4. In the Security Section uncheck Video autoplay
